Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

The short version. We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. The only personal data we ask for is an email address, and only if you choose to subscribe. We do not sell data, ever.

Who we are

This site is operated by Abdikarim Ali Geydh, based in Norway. For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, contact noorulfirdaws@gmail.com.

Fill these in before publishing. A privacy policy without a working contact route is not usable — people have a legal right to reach you about their data, and ad platforms check for it.

What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter

We collect your email address. That is the only field on the form. It is used to send occasional updates about Noor ul Firdaws and nothing else. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.

Automatically, when you visit

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps. These are generated by the web server itself, used for security and diagnosing faults, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

What we do not collect

  • No analytics — no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no heatmaps
  • No advertising or tracking cookies
  • No payment details, ever — see “Payments” below
  • No account is required to read anything on this site

Cookies

This site sets no cookies when you simply visit and read. WordPress may set a cookie if you log in as an administrator, or if you leave a comment and ask it to remember your details. Those are functional, not tracking.

Third parties that receive data

Google Fonts

Our typefaces load from Google's font service. This means your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads. We are telling you plainly because it is the one third-party request this site makes. We intend to self-host these fonts so this stops entirely.

Email provider

If you subscribe, your email address is stored with our email provider so we can send you those messages. They process it on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes.

Our host

The site runs on third-party hosting infrastructure, which necessarily processes server logs as described above.

Qur'an AI is a separate service. If you use quran.noorulfirdaws.com, create an account there, or subscribe to it, that service handles your data under its own terms and privacy policy. This policy covers noorulfirdaws.com only.

Payments

No card details are ever entered on this site. Purchases and donations open an external platform, which handles the payment, the receipt and any refund. We never see or store your card number. Those platforms have their own privacy policies, which apply to that transaction.

How long we keep things

  • Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it
  • Server logs: for the period our host retains them, typically a short window
  • Comments: until removed

Your rights

Wherever you live, and specifically if you are in the UK, the EU or the EEA, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete it
  • Send you a copy in a portable format
  • Stop using it for a particular purpose

Email noorulfirdaws@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. Ours is Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no), the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Administrative access uses two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date below. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
